Welcome to your journey in the heart of Southern Albania!

This tourism project aims to promote and encourage the exploration of some of the less-known yet exceptionally beautiful areas with a rich history. Each place has a unique story to tell, from ancient churches and historical monuments to stunning natural landscapes and the warm hospitality of the locals. By traveling to these areas, you will have the opportunity to experience a unique blend of Albanian culture, history, and nature.

Nivica

Nivica is an ancient village known for its rich history and breathtaking landscapes. This area is famous for its canyons, which are among the most beautiful in Albania. During the Medieval period, Nivica was an important strategic settlement, playing a significant role in defending the region from various invaders. Today, tourists can explore the ruins of castles and learn more about its rich history.

Labova e Kryqit

Labova e Kryqit is known for the Church of Saint Mary, built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. This church is one of the oldest and most significant in Albania, featuring extraordinary frescoes and beautiful iconostases.
Labova was an important religious and cultural center during the Byzantine period and is a major destination for those who want to explore ancient history and magnificent architecture.

Ardenica

The Ardenica Monastery, founded in 1282 by the Byzantine Emperor Andronikos II Palaiologos, is a significant historical and religious monument.
This monastery is renowned for its beautiful frescoes and its role in the history of Albania. In Ardenica, the marriage of Skanderbeg, the national hero of the Albanians, was blessed in 1451. The monastery is situated in a beautiful and tranquil location, surrounded by lush landscapes.

Libofsha

Libofsha is a village with a rich agricultural history and strong rural traditions. In antiquity, this area was part of Illyria and later became part of the Roman Empire. During the Medieval period, Libofsha was an important center for trade and agriculture. Today, visitors can experience traditional village life and enjoy fresh local products.

Kosina

Kosina is known for the Church of Saint Nicholas, which dates back to the 13th century. This church is an important historical and artistic monument, featuring magnificent frescoes and iconostases. The village of Kosina was a significant religious and cultural center during the Byzantine period. The area's beautiful landscapes and the warm hospitality of its inhabitants make Kosina a favorite destination for tourists.

Leusa

Leusa is an ancient village known for the Church of Saint Mary, built in the 18th century. This church is one of the most beautiful in Albania, featuring extraordinary frescoes and unique iconostases. The village is surrounded by stunning mountainous landscapes and offers a unique cultural and historical experience. Leusa has been an important religious and cultural center for the Përmet region.
